If you have studied from these text books, this analysis will show you the characters that have not been introduced through the text books, which usually includes 15-20 characters. Level 2 “Great Expectations” Update

We are still working hard on Great Expectations! We are just as eager as you to have it finished. As we neared completion, we found a number of plot inconsistencies and holes that we are in the process of ironing out. Dickens certainly knew how to weave an intricate plot and simplifying, modernizing, and condensing it in Chinese has been a bigger challenge that we had anticipated. However, we realize that these books will be around for a long time and we want to be sure to have a story that will stand the test of time for the years ahead.

These books are great! I’m also hoping to see the traditional versions in paperback 🙂

Is there any plan for level 3 texts. I’m still on level one, but I think I’m about ready for level two and I’m thinking it takes so long to make these books that I’ll be ready for level 3 by the time you make one.

Thanks,

Isaac

Despite the “Click for a larger view” caption, I can’t click for a larger view of the vocabulary not in NPCR 1–2. Will you add this information to the ebooks and/or the resources section of your website? It would be helpful.

I am interested in getting all levels of Mandarin Companion in paperback. Please direct me to the proper source for ordering.

Hi Evan, I wish it was out as well! We have been running into a series of small issues in getting the story finished. We have finalized the leveling and now we have to ensure proper distribution of words and characters throughout the book and then wait for feedback from our test readers. During that process, we will begin the illustrations. Once it’s finished, we will complete the layout and design and then it will be ready! Sadly, I estimate this will still take until September 2015. It WILL come. Thanks for your enthusiasm!

Hi, your contact us page seems to be broken so thought I would ask here. Is country of the blind (traditional) available on Amazon/kindle? I can’t seem to find it and the Amazon link is broken on your page. Thanks

These books are great! I teach Chinese and just ordered books for my students. One student had a question I couldn’t answer…In the Monkey’s Paw…On page 1, 1986 is written in numerals. On page 3, 8 o’clock is written with the number 8. Other numbers, like ages, seem to all be written with the Chinese character for the number. Why is that? Thanks!
